The operational programme ESF Basilicata 2007-2013, in coherence with the Lisbon strategy, aims to promote the development of regional economy increasingly based on knowledge identifying policies of education, training and employment as the basic elements of the regional strategy for competitiveness.

Has a budget of 322.4 million Euros, of which 128.9 million (40%) from the European Social Fund of the European Union, 154.7 million (48%) from the Italia Government and 38.7 million (12%) from Basilicata Region.
